Children of God Pottery Studio

In the early 1990s, the town of French Camp, Mississippi, decided it was time to replace the old post office that had served the community for more than 70 years. The old Post Office was relocated to the Historic District, and after repainting and restoration, the building has a new home and a new purpose: the Children of God Pottery Studio.

Through many generous donors, the studio and was opened in the the Fall of 2011, as yet another means for providing learning opportunities for French Camp Academy students and guests. Young people and adults alike can enjoy creating designs with our resident potter and learning about pottery production from start to finish.

French Camp Academy work crew students enjoy learning the pottery process and even make their own pottery. The Children of God Pottery line is now available in the Log Cabin Gift Shop. Items include decor, serving dishes, ornaments, gifts, and much more. Look for a student's name on the back of select items that are entirely student-made!
