Harvest Festival
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2013
Every fall, join us for a celebration of “The Lord’s Acre Harvest Festival. For 60 years, French Camp, Mississippi, has been coming together on the second Saturday in October to give thanks, celebrate life and enjoy small-town living. The first Harvest Festival was held on October 25, 1952, by the Men’s Club and Women’s Club (later the French Camp Community Club).
Highlights of the day include the auction held in the Cain-Patterson Gymnasium at French Camp Academy. From quilts to homemade preserves to locally painted works of art, all items are designated to raise funds for the academy and community churches. At noon, there is the famous dinner-on-the-grounds, where you can bring your own family dishes to share. If you can’t bring a dish, there are donation boxes available.
For more information about this year’s Harvest Festival, call us at (662) 547-6482.
The event is open to the public and there is no entry fee.
