Dear Friends,

I write to you this morning with a full heart of emotion and thankfulness.  Last night, Brian Bol, our chef, prepared a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for the entire campus family. Our younger girls' home, led by houseparent Cindy Cox, worked hard to appoint every table with beautiful decorations, even candles!  Lance led us in a very meaningful time of devotion from 1 Thess. For many of our students, last night will be the only semblance of a true Thanksgiving meal. I am proud of our team as they are making intentional efforts to provide traditional holiday experiences for our young people to enjoy.

Then, just a few minutes ago, I had the privilege of sending off nineteen students and five adults to Ft. Worth, TX on a mission trip geared toward serving and ministering to the homeless. For many of our students this will be their very first missions experience. What is most humbling and rewarding to me about this trip, is to see young people who first came to French Camp under the control of the world's influence and given to every manner of selfishness, now boarding a yellow school bus to give up the major portion of their Thanksgiving break to serve others in the name of Christ! To watch God's hand of redemption in their lives is truly amazing. To God be the Glory great things He has done!

As you think of this group, please pray that the Lord Jesus would meet them and they would truly experience the deep love of Christ for them as they serve this week.
