May 5th is FCA Alumni Day
Registration and Meals
Plans are underway for the 2012 FCA Alumni Day. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. in the King Ed Auditorium, followed by entertainment and a business meeting.
Please note that this year all meals must be ordered and paid for by April 2, 2012. Meals will be prepared based on the number of reservations made. Lunches are $7.00 and evening banquet dinners are $15.00 each. Don’t miss these fun times of eating and spending time with former classmates. Make your reservations soon. Awards
Recognizing alumni for their community involvement, church involvement and support of FCA is a highlight each year. The recipients need to be former students of FCA, but do not have to be graduates. Please send your nominations for the following awards along with a short statement of their qualifications to Lisa Henning.
Church Service: maintains an interest in FCA, involved in civic and community service and encourages church community involvement with FCA.
Alumnus of the Year: continuing interest in FCA, civic service, citizenship and community spirit.
Young Alumnus of the Year: attended FCA within the last 15 years, continuing interest in FCA, civic service, citizenship and community spirit.
Reunions
We encourage anyone to plan a reunion. The class of 2007 will celebrate their 5 year graduation anniversary; 2002 celebrates 10 years; 1997, 15 years and so on. Plans for a 1960 to 1965 reunion are being discussed. Contact Linda Thomas McDaniel at 662-547-6332. Alumni Day 2011 Recognitions
More than 100 alumni returned to French Camp for Alumni Day the first weekend in May. They were greeted at the King Auditorium by Miss Annie’s cinnamon rolls and other excited graduates. From as far back as 1996 and as far away as Michigan, they gathered to spend a day renewing acquaintances and recognizing accomplishments.
The 2011 Alumnus of the Year award went to Carol Godfrey Blaine, the Young Alumni of the Year award went to Scott and Tonya McClurg Barlow, and Ricki Prewitt received the Church Service Award.
