At
its dedication in 1910, this stately building was dedicated in
memory of Dr. J. H. Alexander, who served as Vice-President of
the Board of Trustees for French Camp Academy and the Central
Institute for Girls. Upon completion in December of 1909,
its intended purpose was to house
cadets. Although the west wing was
destroyed by fire in June of 1952, the north and east sections
remain fully functional. Today, Alexander-Strange Hall is
used primarily for administrative purposes housing the offices
of the President, Dean, Vice-President of Finance, and various
support staff.
